You need to go back to the drawing board and re-assess the marketing campaign you have. And like most marketing questions, communicating effectively is no simple matter. As one expert marketer said, communication is one level of activity that needs the highest level of attention. One needs to look at the different factors that affect the overall effect of the marketing collateral to its target audience.

If you think your marketing campaigns are too disappointing for your taste, here are some of the relevant variables you need to look at.

- What does your marketing campaign promises your target clients? And if it has a promise, is it compelling enough for your target audience? Is it meaningful to them that they would want to act on your offer? The key is to offer your target clients with something that they want. Unless they see what they are looking for in your ad, you will never get them to respond to your ad. So if you don t know what your target clients want, you need to do some research and ask them what do they need that is still not out there in the market.

- Who are you reaching out to? Are you targeting the people who are most likely to be interested and have the capacity to buy your product? Or are you reaching out to those people who have the authority to make buying decisions for their company? The bottom line is to reach out to the right people you need to. The more you are able to get in touch with these people, the more probability that you are going to get a response from your offer.

- Are you utilizing the best vehicle for your marketing campaign? Maybe you have more chances of getting the results you want with flyers instead of your brochures. You need to look at both the qualitative and quantitative data from your marketing campaign so you can have a true assessment of your medium.

- How many times do you get your ad out? In order for you to effectively communicate your message, according to research, you need to have your target audience exposed to your message regularly. This means that you need to be out there and market your message not just once but more times than you could ever count. The more consistent you are with your marketing, the more likely that you will have your message sink in to your target audience that they would remember you and respond accordingly.

- Are you getting your ad to work towards your goal? Depending on your purpose, your marketing campaign can work hard to give you the results you expect.

- Finally, do you know what your ad is accomplishing? Are you getting the results you want from your ads?

Always remember that communication is king when it comes to your marketing campaign. A successful marketing can only be had if you are effective in communicating your message to the people you intend to convey it to; and they in turn respond accordingly.
