Motor biking is a fun and rather popular sport and some but not all people think of safety when participating in this sport. Of course, the younger generation finds that fun to be more important and tends to think of safety factors less compared to those who have been motor biking for many years. One the most important safety factors when driving a motor bike is avoiding an accident. To protect you if an accident does occur youandrsquo;ll need bike insurance. Not all the protective clothing and gear in the world is going to completely protect you from an accident. You should take the proper driving course and follow the licensing procedures to operate a motor bike before even attempting to drive one. Upon receiving your licensing, you should follow what you learned and be aware of the other drivers around you. Defensive driving is important because if someone is about to hit you and you see it coming but he or she do not, you can compensate to try to avoid that collision. If a collision does occur, it is best for you to obtain and wear the best protective gear at all impact points on your body, i.e. your knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, back, and head.
Some motor biking clothing comes with built in impact protection in the form of amour or padding. It will usually either take form to hard protection, which minimizes fractures or soft protection which minimizes bruising. You can use either one of these or a combination of both. It really depends on how much you want to spend. Of course, armour is most expensive and the best protectant, but if you cannot afford that you should at least purchase the gear with a high density foam andldquo;paddingandrdquo;, which is going to be better than no protection at all. When you are looking at the type of material your gear should be made up of motorcycle leathers are known to be the thickest and provide additional protection from abrasions and last the longest.
Another important piece of gear is your helmet. Your helmet should have an injection mould ABS shell, anti-scratch PC visor, high density EPS, flip up chin bar and face shield, a padded liner, and an extremely tight seal. When shopping for that perfect helmet, please consider all as listed above as these are DOT helmet standards for motor biking. It is common for bike gear to be double skinned and armoured at the impact points for ultimate protection. Make sure all of your stitching on your gear is intact as it will not do you any good to have your gear rip if you crash. Also, make sure you gear has a snug fit but still allows for good circulation and ventilation of your skin.
