-- How to give ones’ Corvette a spicier look

In 1953 America got its first American made sports car and since then there was no looking back. Since then Chevrolet has released almost six different generations of Corvettes. The latest is the C6, which costs around $100,000 and is in production. The performance of corvette has improved through generations. This is the car America drives.

The engine has been an asset of the Corvettes. The Corvette auto parts have been tested and have are known to deliver a performance of the true master. In 2006 Corvette Z06 was launched and soon it created ripples in automobile industry. This will remind you of the 1969 model when there were ample options in engines for Corvettes.

Most of the Corvette engines during the year 1969 were known to generate 500 horsepower. Some of the popular ones were known as ZL1 and L88. Even the L71 came with the 3-2BBL-carburetor setup. The L88 was rated at 430 HP, but when it came to performance it came much closer to 600 HP. Most of the Corvette auto parts are known for their adaptability on roads. As soon as tune the engine, you will find the road smooth as butter. Even the rough terrains will not pose a problem. The ZL1 was an out-an-out aluminum engine with greater mileage and god pick up. However this engine was found in limited editions as the Z11 Corvettes were meant for the president and vice-president of GM.

However Corvettes had their own bit of problem. They were accused of causing emission problem and much of the problem was accorded to the brutal force of the engines. In 1970 there was a big block engine, which came to be known as 390 HP LS5 454. While in 1969 it was only 390 HP, suddenly the engine became twice powerful and twice forceful in 1970. Corvette is known among many as a muscle car because of its quick pick up and force of the engine. Corvette auto parts are designed to suit the demands of even strenuous roads. A dyno test has revealed that the L88 Corvette engine has 585 FTLB of torque. Corvettes are truly amazing for long drives.

If you want to know more about Corvettes you should contact Todd Wiley who will tell you all that Corvettes are solid sports cars, which have been, captured the attention of generations. Todd had worked in West Coast Corvettes and he knows much about the company and the cars. In 2004 he left WCC to start his own business. He knew that Corvette lovers wanted a one-stop shop where they could find all about Corvette auto parts and accessories. In 2005 in a C5 Birthday Bash Todd met a Corvette legend, John Lingenfelter. He not only met him but also fulfilled his long-term dream of racing with him. The experience was awesome according to Todd. Today the East Coast Corvettes have made a name among all the Corvette lovers.
