-- The Sports Car That Is Japanese
Originally launched in 1969 as the Datsun 240 Z by the Nissan Motor Co., the Nissan 350 Z is a sports car, a product of Japan. The 350 Z is the present(fifth) production of the Nissan's Z-car line, It is presently offered in a number of trim packages and comes as both a two-door coup and roadster.
The outside of the 350 Z, a two seater, has a thoroughly modern design. It looks every bit like what a sports car should. The capacity for speed is written all over the car. Seen from the sides it shows a gently curved nose with a long hood, an equally sloped but triangular cabin that stretches back right to the end of the vehicle. It has a bulging hood to fit a relative large engine for a sports car. The only problem with the exterior is that it looks remarkably similar to the older versions of the Z series and it is a bit difficult to differentiate if one is driving the latest or one of the older cars.
The external perspective of the 350 Z, a two seater, has a comprehensively contemporary design. The competence for speed is splashed all over the car. It looks every bit like what a sports car should. The lateral view shows a softly curved nose with a and smoothly rising long hood, a just as evenly inclined but triangular cabin that terminates at the end of the vehicle. The bonnet bulges to some extent to fit a relative large engine, for a sports car. The only setback with the exterior is that it looks remarkably similar to the previous editions of the Z series and it is a bit difficult to make a distinction whether one is driving the most up-to-date or one of the earlier ones.
The Nissan 350 Z is powered by a 3.5 lt. V6 engine that is capable of developing 306 hp. and 268 lb.-ft. of torque with a dual inlet air-intake system, variable exhaust cam timing and a high compression ratio. The engine can be souped up to redline at 7500 rpm. A 5 Speed Auto Transmission or a 6 speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission transfers the generated power effortlessly to the large 19" rear wheels. Pickup was fast with the Z capable of accelerating from zero to sixty mph in just 5.5 secs.
The 350 Z performs just as equally well on city/ highway roads as it does on a race track, making it both a fast and a practical car as well. On the race track with its elevation changes, sharp turns and short straight-aways, and the 350Z executed its maneuvers flawlessly. On the road, the automobile handles more or less perfectly and gives a comfortable carefree driving pleasure.
The mandatory dual-stage front airbags are available in all models, but active head restraints and electronic stability control are not available on all models except as optional add-ons. Electronic Stability Control System is standard on the more pricey Touring and Grand Touring models. Tire Pressure Monitoring System is typical equipment on all models.
The Nissan 350 Z Keychains are can be obtained in just three selections: the Teardrop, the Valet and the Steering Wheel. They are not flashy but simple in design but just as unique as the kind of cars that they signify.
