People when opting for a particular car or a vehicle, will look for its mileage, name, making etc. now-a-days they look for the added facilities also. They want vehicles which are economic and which will provide latest features. These may include music systems also. Customers prefer listening to music when they are on a long drive. Thus the devices like music systems, radio, speakers are fixed in the cars. If they do not work, they can be repaired or changed. There are many systems available in the markets for this. We cannot call the professional each and every time, when we observe a minor problem in the system. We can try sorting it out on our own. This is not a tough job. We must be careful and alert while doing this.

The things required for the installation process are a screwdriver of the Philip's company, panel tool, and wrench. The following lines will discuss on the steps involved and the methodology of the process. The compact discs or other cassettes are to be removed from the old radio. Other precautions like switching off the engine, setting parking brake, and the battery disconnected are done. All these steps are done to prevent any form of short circuiting till this thing is done. After the precautionary steps are done, the trim panel of the vent is pried up. This can be done with the help of the panel tool. It is a long panel is found above the dash.

It has the vents of the air conditioner and the heaters. Now the trim panel that is around the speaker is seen. Two screws are provided on the receiver's top side. They will be seen after the vent is peered in the previous step. They are removed. The trim is peered off, from the receiver with the help of the panel kit. Once it is peered you will observe four screws, on the radio's edges. These are also removed. The screws that hold the panel of climate control in place is taken out. It is generally two in number. This panel of climate control is right below the opening of the radio. There is a retaining strap and this is found on the inside of the glove box of the jeep. Therefore, this glove box is opened and the strap is slid out carefully. Then, the glove compartment is lowered so that it is out of way.

Then you should remove a bolt of 10 mm. It is used to hold the radio in its position. This work is done with the help of the wrench. Thus now the radio can be safely removed from the dash by disconnecting all the wirings and other installations. The antenna plug should also be removed.

Now the new radio is taken. The wires and the antenna are connected to their respective sites. Then it is placed and bolt is tightened. Now the screws which we removed are fixed back to their place.
