Top Authors Block: How To



If you want install the Top Authors block to your site you can import itandnbsp; directly from

www.articlems.com

www.articlems.com/blocks/other/


From your admin got to EDIT TEMPLATE --- andgt; NEW BLOCK

IMPORT BLOCK FROM ARTICLEMS --- andgt; Enter the block codeandnbsp; -- andgt; click the IMPORT BLOCK button

Then if you want display it simply put the code
{$Blocks-andgt;topauthors}

where you want it.

If you want display the top authors in a separate page you must change the block settings
from universal to standalone

Edit Block
Block Name: topauthors ($Blocks-andgt;topauthors)
Display Name:
Block Active:
Block Parent:andnbsp; andnbsp; STANDALONE


save the changes and go back to the edit block

Now you'll see another field called URL

Edit Block
Block Name: topauthors ($Blocks-andgt;topauthors)
Display Name:
Url: (Only apply to 'standalone'/'browse' blocks. Do not add any file extension. )
Block Active:
Block Parent:


Put in the URL field something like topauthors
and save.

Then you can link the page using this code

andlt;a href='{$this-andgt;relpath}topauthors' andgt;Top Authorsandlt;/aandgt;
